What is Liboost®?

Liboost® is a damiana extract (Turnera diffusa) standardized to f ≥ 1.5% Liboonoides® by HPLC, the biomarker defined as a bioactive flavonoid complex found in damiana, responsible for its therapeutic activity, which has been associated with properties that support an increase in sexual desire*.

The bioactive flavonoids in Liboost® include three main groups: luteolin glycosides, apigenin glycosides, and aglycone flavones.

Damiana extracts are amongst the most adulterated ingredients, typically enriched with other extracts. Liboost®  standardization ensures the extract´s homogeneity and prevents adulteration.

How does it work in men?

Liboost® main mechanisms of action for men:

  • Nitric Oxide (NO) release: Liboost® may increase NO release in endothelial tissue, promoting vasodilatation*.
  • PDE-5 activity inhibition: Liboost® may inhibit an enzyme key to the degradation of cGMP, which induces smooth muscle relaxation, resulting in penile erection*.
  • Testosterone levels balance: Liboost®, may inhibit testosterone degradation, maintaining its levels for an adequate erectile function*.

How does it work in women?

In female sexual dysfunction, the release of NO at the vaginal smooth muscle is altered. Mechanisms of action in women are:

  • Nitric Oxide (NO) release: Liboost®, would increase the release of NO, favouring the normal behaviour of the first stage of female sexual function*.
  • PDE-5 activity inhibition: Liboost®may inhibit an enzyme key to the degradation of cGMP, which induces smooth muscle relaxation, resulting in vaginal smooth muscle relaxation*.
  • Increases testosterone levels: Liboost®, may inhibit testosterone degradation, maintaining its levels for adequate sexual desire*.
