What is Olivactive®?

Olivactive® is an olive leaf extract, standardized to ≥20% oleuropein and to ≥2% bioflavonoids by HPLC.

Oleuropein is one of the most important characteristic biomolecules from Olea europaea L. Oleuropein has shown, in different studies, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activities*.

Bioflavonoids are potent antioxidants that have been related to antibacterial properties*.

Due to its unique features, Olivactive® presents a better stability and an identified profile to avoid any kind of adulteration.

How does it work?

Olivactive® and its bioactive compounds have shown three main mechanisms of action:

  • Macrophage and granulocytes stimulation to initiate a proinflammatory pathway to help combat pathogens*.
  • Oleuropein breaks down hydroxytyrosol during the digestion, which may promote bacteria cell walls breaking, and cellular membrane damaging*.
  • Olivactive® may attenuate the overall inflammatory state*, reducing inflammation in several cell types.
  • Olivactive® may as well have a positive effect on glycemia regulation*, thanks to the modulation of the activity of several enzymes.
