What is Kyoh®?

Kyoh® is a standardized extract of Eruca sativa leaf, developed with a clearly defined phytochemical profile and standardized to more than 1.5% Erucosides®, a proprietary group of flavonol glycosides naturally present in rocket leaves. Quantified by HPLC analysis, Kyoh® guarantees a consistent total content of 1.5–3.0% flavonol glycosides, mainly derived from quercetin, kaempferol, and isorhamnetin, ensuring batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility.

These bioactive compounds have been associated with antioxidant activity and biological pathways involved in follicle function, including mechanisms linked to cellular protection and hair growth support*.

Targeted follicle biology research

Kyoh® was evaluated in a recent in vitro study using cultured human dermal papilla cells, which play a central role in hair follicle biology.

The study showed significant upregulation of VEGF and FGF7, biological pathways associated with follicular activity and follicle physiology*. Kyoh® also activated NRF2-related antioxidant pathways linked to cellular protection against oxidative stress*.

In addition, the extract demonstrated the ability to promote dermal papilla cell activity, supporting a more targeted and precision-driven approach to hair-from-within innovation.
